Miss Elizabeth – Tap, Hip Hop, Adult Tap
Elizabeth started dance when she was three years old and has trained in many dance styles including tap, hip hop, jazz, and musical theatre. She has significant tap and hip hop training and has seven years of previous teaching experience, sharing this knowledge with the next generation of upcoming dancers. As a student, Elizabeth gained valuable experience as a dance teaching assistant and also as a Leader in Training with the City of Spruce Grove. She is looking forward to continuing her studies toward her Bachelor of Education at Concordia University in Edmonton this Fall.
Elizabeth has had an abundance of performing experience, not only in her regular dance class performances and competitions, but in some exciting opportunities beyond the traditional dance studio, including being a part of The Next Steps production “For the Love of Tap” in 2015. The Next Steps was an advanced tap technique and professional development program. In this program, Elizabeth had the unique opportunity to teach her peers, and she also had her first choreography position. A few major dance accomplishments in her dance career include being a part of the Senior Elite Tap Team at Power House Dance for three consecutive years, where she had the chance to work with some incredible choreographers. As well, her intense hip hop training has taken her to some top Canadian Hip Hop competitions, including Artists Emerge and Represent. In addition to this, Elizabeth travelled to Las Vegas in 2017 with her tap solo and a group number in the Velocity Dance Convention season finale, where she was fortunate to attend several advanced workshops led by some top dancers in the field. Elizabeth is thrilled to be a part of The Heart of Dance team and can’t wait to share her love for dance with her students!
